NordVPN's hybrid Smart DNS + VPN routing for streaming Stripchat.

Definition​

SmartPlay is NordVPN's feature that blends Smart DNS with VPN encryption. When enabled (it's on by default), NordVPN automatically routes streaming domains through optimized servers and rewrites DNS so geo-restricted content loads without manual DNS tweaks.

Why it matters​

  • Automatic bypass: Stripchat and other adult domains get rerouted through regions that work best.
  • No configuration: Works out of the box on every NordVPN platform, including smart TVs.
  • Secure fallback: Unlike standalone Smart DNS, SmartPlay keeps the VPN tunnel encrypted.

Usage​

  1. SmartPlay is built into NordVPN apps - confirm it's toggled on under Settings - General.
  2. Reconnect to apply the optimized routing.
  3. For stubborn regions, pair SmartPlay with specific streaming servers listed in NordVPN's app.
