CamScore

Reputation metric on cam platforms that ranks rooms by engagement, quality, and moderation history.

Definition

CamScore is BongaCams' proprietary ranking system (similar systems exist on other networks) that weighs viewer counts, tip velocity, report history, and responsiveness to surface the most reliable rooms at the top of category listings.

Why it matters

  • Discovery shortcut: High CamScore tiles usually signal responsive performers, stable streams, and active moderation.
  • Performer goals: Creators protect their score by keeping schedules consistent, avoiding policy strikes, and engaging viewers.
  • User safety: Rooms with poor scores sink quickly, reducing exposure to spam or inactive streams.

Notes

  1. New performers start with a neutral score and can climb rapidly during launch promos or contests.
  2. Excessive mutes, bans, or refund requests can drag the score down even if viewer numbers stay high.
  3. Filtering by CamScore pairs well with niche tags (e.g., "cosplay," "Lovense") when you want both specificity and quality.
  4. Scores refresh continuously; recheck before tipping if you revisit a room after a long break.
